Brian Kaylor serves as Communications Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Missouri and has worked for the BGCM since May of 2003. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Communication at the University of Missouri, where he also teaches undergraduate communication courses such as Introduction to Public Speaking and Controversies in Communication.

Brian has won several awards for news and academic writing, including some from the Baptist Communicators Association and the National Communication Association. In addition to news and editorial writing for the BGCM, Brian has written pieces for Ethics Daily, Word&Way, and other publications. He has been quoted in the Associated Baptist Press, Baptist Message, Baptist Press, CAFNR Corner Post, Columbia Missourian, Columbia Tribune, Ethics Daily, Florida Baptist Witness, Omnibus, Springfield News-Leader, Texas Observer, The Pathway, Vox, and Word&Way. He has also presented over thirty papers at academic communication conferences.

Brian has a B.A. in Communication and Christian Ministry from Southwest Baptist University, an M.A. in Communication from the University of Missouri, and studied at a Baptist seminary. He has also taught communication courses at Southwest Baptist University and for the Junior Statesman Program at Northwestern University.
